Kouichi Tsuji

Kouichi Tsuji graduated in 1992 at Tohoku University, Japan, receiving his Ph.D. in metallurgy on glow discharge optical emission spectroscopy. He has worked at Osaka City University since 2002, and Osaka Metropolitan University since 2022 due to the merger. He has been a Full Professor since 2008. He received the JSAC (the Japan Society for Analytical Chemistry) Award in 2019, and the Birks award at the Denver X-ray conference in 2022. His research activities involve the development and improvement of X-ray analytical methods, such as TXRF, Micro-XRF, confocal micro-XRF, WD & ED-XRF imaging, PIXE, EPMA, and their applications.
