Sascha Nowak

Dr. Sascha Nowak studied chemistry at the University of Münster and got his PhD in Analytical Chemistry. After his doctorate in the group of Prof. Uwe Karst, he joined the working group of Prof. Martin Winter at the MEET Battery Research Center in 2009 as a postdoctoral researcher where he established the analytical department. From 2010-12 he was the head of the competence areas Analytics and Recycling and since 2012 he holds a position as scientific staff at the MEET Battery Research Center at Münster University as the head of the division Analytics and Environment, which mainly focuses on electrolyte aging, transition metal migration and surface investigations, recycling and 2^nd life as well as toxicological investigations.

He has currently over 130 peer review publications and book chapters and 350 conference contributions. His team of postdoctoral fellows, graduate and undergraduate students and technicians is working on all aspects of lithium ion batteries, applying chromatographic, elemental and surface methods.
